maria, kacy, and haley ran rim-to-rim (about 24 miles) going from north to south, then turned around the next day and ran back. i joined them on their way back up the canyon on the second day. the weather was extreme, down in the 20s in the morning, but by noon at the bottom it was pushing 90º.
